Who is Jo Jayne?
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor working with adults only, either on a one-to-one basis or as a couple. I am currently in advanced level 7 Psychotherapy Training. I have a full DBS check, insurance and I am registered with UKCP.
I am a previous secondary school teacher, foster parent and school governor. I have been interested in mental health for a long time. I have had seven years (and ongoing) of personal therapy which has made me a better therapist.
I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach as we are all unique. I am deeply interested in you and the way you see the world. I know by helping you it affects others around you, and this is my mission to help make the world a better place. I have an interest in trauma work (healing our inner child) and working creatively to help you heal.

Why work with me?
I offer a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to explore your feelings and emotions. I offer my commitment to you being a consistently secure person who helps you get to the root of your issues.
What does therapy look like?
Therapy is one-to-one talking in a private space. You can speak openly and confidentially about what’s going on for you. Together we open doors and explore your internal and external landscape. We build a therapeutic relationship that helps you reach deeper parts of yourself that is transformative and brings out the changes you are looking for.
I carry out both long and short-term therapy depending on your needs.
I provide a free 20-minute telephone consultation to see if we are a good fit before starting therapy.
My fees are £45 for 50 minutes online, in person or by telephone.
My fee for couples is £80 per 50-minute session.
If you prefer walk-and-talk therapy my fee is £45 for 50 minutes or 75 minutes for £60
What I can help with?
I offer a thorough assessment at the beginning of your therapy journey. If you are unsure what you think you need this is OK. Sometimes we can’t put our finger on it.
STRESS, DEPRESSION, FEAR & ANXIETY
Stress, depression, fear and anxiety are some of the most painful emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. As a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor I will work with you to address the underlying issues as well as interrupting processes which may have stemmed from early life.
BURNOUT
Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands. I understand how challenging this can be and I will offer you the guidance and help to recover.
BEREAVEMENT & LOSS
Grief and loss can involve not only the loss of a loved one but an existential crisis, such as reaching a retirement age or children leaving home to go to university. Grief is a natural process, but it can be devastating. Everybody experiences the loss of a loved one in different ways. I understand how painful this can be and I am here to support you.
TRAUMA & PTSD
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of healing.
